ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Funny though I was going for a walk around campus yesterday and noticed them all over the ground.

You should look at the trees, Kristen! That one was just outside of our building. Sal and I were sitting under, noticed the trunk, and got creeped out by the thought of them falling on our heads. Just the thought gives me the hebeejeebees!
Those are not the cute, furry variety. Those are tent worms. And they cause massive damage to trees, what with arriving in enormous numbers, making more offspring, and then eating all the damn leaves.
Those are one of the only bugs we kill. Oh, and ticks.
This is nasty. I wonder what my four year old would say? Would she jump at the chance to fill a bucket full of caterpillars to take home? Or would she be just as grossed as us? This momma is not going to find out. Blech.
