Bad luck?

How much bad luck is it when one's black cat spills salt all over the kitchen table?

"What, me?" -Ebbie

I followed you here from Agnes and Henry's place and I have to say your kitty is gorgeous!
Now I have to ask who your favorite writer is who wrote about the post its. I use post its like s/he advised and it's almost like you describe: They are everywhere. I need a blog! (And I'm going to check yours out further after I check on Renatta and company and the IBKs.

I think she is pretty great too but I'm a little biased :)

My favorite author is Anne Lamott! She wrote a great book about writing called Bird by Bird that I would definitely recommend but Blue Shoe is by far my favorite. If you check her out, I would love to know what you think.

And welcome to Sidenote:!

I figured that's who you were talking about, although it's been a while since I've read Bird By Bird (I've read it 2 or 3 times and LOVE it). I too am a big fan of Anne Lamott and have been fortunate to hear her speak twice in the last couple of years. I like her non fiction better than her fiction, but it's all good. Operating Instructions, about the first year of her son's life is wonderful, hilarious and poignant. I'm trying to do a little writing and I always try to remember to take it "bird by bird". That's good advice for almost any endeavor.

Hi, I'm relatively new to Agnes & Henry's blog. I'm catching up a week or so at a time and followed you here when I hit your comment.

First, Ebbie is lovely! How neat that she has a little white "smile!"

And what a day to come on over... Congratulations on being "published!" I agree, the anonymity adds to the feeling of community. And I love the poem! I've got to pass this along to my church, who will be doing sidewalk repairs shortly. And my city councilman!

As well you should be! (Proud that is!)

I've already passed the post on to my pastor. I know she's just going to eat this up! (and love the poem... right up her alley!)

Can't wait to see more of Ebbie and I've enjoyed fishing around on your blog!
