I assume it was supposed to be plodding, not plotting, but I'm going to brush up on my conspiracy skills just in case.
My other favorite work slip-up was when a colleague told me "the results had wienered out."
wienered out = petered out + winnowed out

mhmm.. either these are two strange slip-ups, or you fundamentally misunderstand your employers business model and are in for an unpleasant surprise.
I won't lie, I was expecting a math joke here. Conspiracies are good too, though! I see how you implied that you're out of practice, though we all know better.
