Burn, Baby, burn.

I like to pretend I know how to put out candles with my fingertips and not get burned but my attempts usually end with me hopping around in a circle trying not to swear. I have tried wetting my fingers but then I just end up with sooty stuff all over my hands and the candle still isn't fully out.

Also, as annoyed as I get by the fact my smoke alarm is more sensitive than I am and goes off at the slightest hint of smoke/bathsteam/hairspray, it also makes me feel safe at the same time.

And yes, these two random thoughts are, in fact, related. Welcome to my world.

I can put candles out with my fingers. It usually begins with a lot of slobber and ends with complete satisfaction

I can put candles out with my fingers without the saliva, but then, I know the trick. (Ha! I never get to reference that quote for what it's actually about!)

Yeah. I remember one time when Matt tried to put out a fire. Little did he know that the Fire Department would be needed... (Actually, I also remember one time with something having to do with popcorn and a very surprised Elizabeth Marie...)

I know how to keep my smoke alarm from going off. It's useful when you don't have a fume hood... though I really would have liked to have a fume hood that one time when the Hydrochloric Acid started reacting with the aluminium...
