Der...

The Best Friend has informed me that I need to start posting again and what she wants, she gets so I'll share this little gem with you to get myself started again.

Over the weekend I had a family friend, who happens to be an interior designer, come over and started planning new designs for a kitchen remodel. One that may or may not ever happen but that's not the point of the story. The point of the story is I went with her to a few houses in the neighborhood she had redesigned so I could get some visuals.

After my mini Parade of Homes tour I called Mom to tell her about it. "I really liked the granite but the coriander just looked kind of cheap to me."

She burst out laughing. "That's because coriander is an herb."

"Then what is the counter top called?"

"Corian."

What a difference a -der makes.

Mmm... Cilantro! One of my favorites!

Wait, coriander is cilantro? Really? Well, that simplifies things.

Apparently so! At least according to some guy named El Vato Suave. I used to know a guy who went by that name but he disappeared months ago... ;)

It took me awhile to figure out coriander and cilantro were the same things. I have to agree on the granite!
