Although I haven't been posting for a few days, I have been busy. Notice anything different? Like, maybe everything about the blog?
While a new layout and my very own domain name (www.sidenotecal.com) won't change the world, they are big changes for little ole me. (Plus, this song was my ringtone for a few years in college and it still gets stuck in my head on a regular basis so I thought you could join in the fun and get it stuck in yours, too, while checking out the new look.)
After sifting through thousands of free blogger template options on dozens of sites I found that btemplates was the most organized and easiest to navigate. Toward the end of my search I found this helpful guide which gives several different websites offering free blogger templates.
My goals were to clean things up and do something fresh while still maintaining some consistency and, well, I had a whole bunch other ideas swirling in my mind but I don't want to bore you so...here it is! Enjoy and feel free to say nice things in the comments about the blog's makeover. (Or about me...I'm always up for compliments.)

Well, if this didn't just make my day! Congrats on the new domain, it's a pretty big thing. The new theme is awesome, too, I'm a big fan of symmetry. I notice it continues the trend of the site to get brighter over the years. Perhaps symbolic of your life? I'm just saying...
Plus the update to the logo fixed something that had been bugging me. All in all, pretty awesome! The only thing missing is a CC license, but that's my own bias talking.
