Love is a plastic head scarf.

Yesterday the minute I stepped outside in my 3 inch heels it started raining. No problem, I was prepared, I had my umbrella with me.
Oh wait...
...it broke.
Five blocks later as I scurried into the parking garage I was damp and chilled and my feet were killing me. Throwing my bag into the backseat I noticed a well dressed couple in their 70's in the next row of cars. She was in front of him, hands clasped with her face turned up toward him. Reaching in his pocket he pulled out one of those plastic head scarfs every lady qualifying for social security seems to have. He shook it out and went on to put it over her perfectly waved grey hair, tying the strap in a bow under her chin. As they walkd away, she took his arm and smiled at him.
Smiling, I shook off my coat, climbed into the car and headed home, wet hair and all.

Mason jars = nalgene bottles?

In the past few weeks, I have noticed almost half a dozen people drinking water from mason jars. Are they the new Nalgene bottle? If so, no one told me. To fit in, I am now drinking out of a recycled glass salad dressing jar. Actually, I just got tired of the tiny little glasses they have in the kitchen at work so I decided to use the container I had brought soup in one day for lunch as a drinking glass. Maybe that is how everyone else ended up with their mason jars. Hard to say...

Another new development--I just found out that pudding is really really good. It used to gross me out. Now, I may or may not be slightly addicted to vanilla fat free snack packs. They are even better with fresh raspberries. YUM.
